Review! MAMMUT Ducan 32 & Ducan Spine 28–35 Backpacks

We believe that many people choose a backpack based on the same criteria as we do: lightweight, large capacity, and good looks.
However, when Mammut’s Ducan 32 and Ducan Spine 28–35 backpacks came onto the scene, we realized that these qualities can also come together with excellent comfort.

Let’s start with the Ducan 32.With a 32-liter capacity,

It features the CONTACT STREAM back system, which creates separation between the back and the pack. Combined with perforated shoulder straps and hip belt, it stays breathable and comfortable even during long periods of use.





The shoulder straps and hip belt are both equipped with mesh pockets, ideal for storing small items such as energy bars or soft flasks.

The left side of the hip belt also features an expandable pocket that allows a phone to be stored vertically, offering quick and easy access.

Moving on to the highlight, the Ducan Spine 28–35 not only includes all the advantages mentioned earlier, but also adds my personal favorite feature: Active Spine Technology 3.0.

This Mammut patented technology has been upgraded again this year. It is a dynamic carrying system that moves in sync with the natural motion of the spine and hips while walking. By keeping the center of gravity stable and centered, it distributes weight evenly across the body, significantly reducing strain. The effect is especially noticeable during large movements or when scrambling and climbing.

Moreover, this carrying system offers three adjustable lengths—long, medium, and short—catering to users of different heights and torso lengths. After using it for the first time, you can truly feel that the designers had long-distance journeys in mind when creating it.
